Quiet day today, not feeling massively inspired to do anything, so I set myself the easy project of making two more cards for the stash of birthday and thank you cards. I do love having a few handmade cards at hand so that it’s not a rush when it’s time to post one, and it makes for a small and quick art project in the moment.
Peeling tape after painting watercolour backgrounds is so chill, right?
Card making is all about relaxing for me, so I cut a stack of card toppers, paint them then match them to a backing card. I don’t worry too much about the finished result while painting, as I can keep spares for a future card making round.
A chill evening of painting once again. It’s great that there’s nothing I want to watch on tv at the moment! Listened to a full @auroramusic album and working my way through @paramore’s new album as I muck around with colours.
This is the second card I made last night, inspired by Japanese tinned peaches 🍑
Trying to rediscover watercolour painting while making a batch of greeting cards for 2023. I try to have a handful of handmade cards ready for birthdays and thank yous, and I’m quite happy with how this one turned out 😊 This one was inspired by a book of canned foods from Japan 💖
